About the Gatlinburg
Area
Gatlinburg
is an amazing city. Surrounded on three sides
by the Great Smoky Mountain’s National Park, it offers stunning
natural beauty only minutes from a bustling and action-packed
downtown. One of the most advantageous features of the
city is the Parkway. Almost every attraction, theater
and restaurant can be located on this dynamic stretch
of road. This makes the entire area very accessible.
You can walk, drive or take the cities trolley system
to anywhere you desire.
You won’t ever be short on activities while in the area
either. Of course you have the National Park, with 520,000
acres of trails and pristine beauty. But you are also directly
in the heart of a busy downtown that features high-tech
toys with a laid back lifestyle. Gatlinburg offers the
Ripley’s Aquarium, which has gained national recognition
for its amazing design and interactive settings. The city
has activities and attractions that rival that of any metropolis
in America. From the Guinness World Records Museum and
Ripley’s Believe it or Not to the frightening Ghost Walk
of Gatlinburg and the Star Cars Museum, you will never
be short on things to do.
There are plenty of adventures to be had in Gatlinburg
as well. If you enjoy the great outdoors, you can go horseback
riding and white water rafting. A short ride on the Aerial
Tram to Ober Gatlinburg will bring ice skating, shopping
and skiing to your fingertips. If you are looking for something
a little slower paced, walk the Parkway and enjoy shopping
all evening long. There’s always enough to fill any vacation. |
